Mental Health Alert: “Emotional Health at a 25-Year Low” for College Freshmen

Freshmen Report: Students are Stressed and Depressed

“The survey, “The American Freshman: National Norms Fall 2010,” was conducted by UCLA’s Higher Education Research Institute and included 200,000 students. The number of freshmen who said their emotional health was “below average” has risen steadily, according to the report. Only 52 percent rated themselves as “above average” in emotional health, down from 64 percent in 1985 when the survey began.” Click here to read the rest of this ABC Health article.

Positives With Roots of Tragedy on Campus

“In a 12-month period from 2003 to 2004, six New York University students committed suicide.
